Come to the cross and celebrate the truth behind Easter with our free printable Easter cross templates.
The Easter Cross
As a strong Christian, the Easter cross represents a number of things to me.
Not only is the cross a symbol of my personal faith, but it also represents everything important about Christianity.
From how Jesus suffered and died for all of us to the hope we can now have as we walk through the darkness of this current world.

So, needless to say, I couldn’t let another Holy Week pass by without adding this type of printable to my list of freebies here on Life + Homeschool.
Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Easter Cross Templates
Last year, I kicked off our set of free printable Easter templates with some simple Easter egg templates.
This year, I continued growing that collection with our free printable Easter bunny templates.
Now, I’m ready to share my favorite Easter printable of all!
These Easter cross templates.

This new printable represents everything I believe Easter is about — the cross and the savior.
I spent some time making these crosses just right, and even my 13-year-old daughter lent a hand in designing my favorite cross of all (the one you see above).
You can find all three options below.
3 Wooden Crosses
While I didn’t originally plan on creating 3 crosses, the significance of this number is way too important not to mention.
Every Christian knows that Jesus didn’t die alone.
He was up on that hill with 2 others, and they were all crucified together.
That said, unlike the other men, Jesus was undeserving of His fate.
However, it was part of God’s ultimate design, and he did it all for us.
That is what makes the Easter cross so important, you guys!

All that said, I did make 3 different Easter cross templates (not on purpose or to represent the other crosses from that day) simply because I wanted to!
I tossed the plain one together pretty quickly, but knew I wanted something more.
So, I added a little text that represents the truth of Easter.
Then, I created the final cross (the one I had envisioned all along), and my sweet kiddo inspired me with her own ideas to get it just right!
Not going to lie, I totally love the final cross in this series, and while it took some extra effort on my part to put this one together, it was SO worth it, you guys!
All that said, 3 Wooden Crosses is also the name of one of our favorite songs!
While the lyrics may not be about Calvary, they are incredibly powerful, and I totally thought it deserved a quick mention.
Haven’t heard it before? Go listen to it now, you guys, seriously!
Cross Template Uses
While most of the printable craft templates here on Life + Homeschool come in multiple sizes, I chose to go with a one-size-fits-all version for this one.
Honestly, I’m not sure exactly why I did this, but it just felt right for some reason, so I rolled with it!
Either way, these simple Easter cross templates can be used in many different ways.
Try using them to decorate your home for Easter or as a simple coloring page, alongside our other Easter coloring pages, for your Easter Sunday school class.
