Encourage kiddos to have a very hoppy Easter with this free printable Easter bunny template!

Easter Bunny Origin

As a Christian homeschool mom, Easter had never really been about the bunny for me.

I was raised in church off and on, and even though I didn’t understand the significance of Easter at the time, I did grow up with some Christian values and had that very important seed planted at a young age.

That said, the bunny has always been around this time of year, and strangely, I’ve never really known why.

According to Chase Oaks Church, the Easter bunny was founded in Germanic folklore and over time evolved into the iconic bunny we know today.

It truly is an interesting tale, you guys!

While Easter will always be all about Jesus for me, I still tend to find some room for the bunny this time of year.

From decorations (I seriously have bunnies everywhere in spring) to chocolate bunnies and crafts.

So, whether you are a strong Christian who enjoys a little bunny fun from time to time or Easter is all about the bunny for you, this cute new printable can be a fun option for your Easter (or spring) crafting and creating!

While bunnies may not be the reason I celebrate Easter, they are stinkin’ adorable, and I do love decorating with them this time of year!

So, needless to say, I’m pretty excited about this one, you guys!

I love growing my collection of free printable craft templates here on Life + Homeschool, and this one was pretty fun to make.

Printed Easter bunny template left white with nose and inside of ear colored pink. Cute white barn decoration in the background.

Plus, this fun new freebie pairs perfectly with the Easter egg template I created last year!

All that said, this fun bunny template can be used for more than just Easter week and can be a fun paper project to utilize all season long!

Free Bunny Templates

When I first decided to make this free bunny template for you guys, I knew I wanted to do something fun with it.

So, thinking about what I would personally want in a bunny template, I chose to create an adorable front view of this bunny (as you saw above), and dare I say it? An even cuter back view!

Making this a versatile bunny template that you can truly use however you want!

3 printed and colored Easter bunny templates, back view, 1 colored pink, 1 colored green, 1 colored blue, with heart shaped cotton tales.

The best part? Much like most of my printable crafting templates here on Life + Homeschool, this Easter bunny template can be printed in multiple sizes!

I tend to make my templates in multiple sizes simply because I want to meet as many needs as possible!

Bunny Template Uses

Need ideas for using this fun freebie? Try some of these simple options.

From decorating your classroom to creating a simplified paper bunny craft that wows!

Ideas for the classroom:

  • Decorate your class door or bulletin board with bunny buts for spring
  • Use as a simple coloring page during Easter school parties
  • Create a fun paper craft — have kids draw an Easter scene and glue their bunny on it!

4 printed bunny templates. 3 are the backside of the bunny and are colored, 1 blue, 1 pink, 1 green. The final bunny is left white with it's nose and inside of ear colored light pink.

Fun at home uses:

  • Decorate your homeschool room or create a bunny butt banner!
  • Create an easy double-sided Easter bunny craft with your kids (simply print double-sided on cardstock, flipping on the long edge, or print on paper and glue or tape it together!) I did this with double-sided tape since I was fresh out of cardstock, and as you can see below, it turned out so cute, you guys!

There are seriously so many uses for this fun Easter bunny template, you guys!

Use one of the above concepts or create your own.

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the kid activities portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
