The Reason for the Season
While Santa and gifts under the tree can be fun holiday traditions this time of year, the true reason for the season in most Christian households is celebrating the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
From reading through the entire book of Luke to setting up our family nativity scene, I love absolutely everything about this season, you guys!
All that said, if you are a mom with younger kiddos, teaching them about the true meaning of Christmas can be a difficult task!
It’s so incredibly easy to get caught up in the lights, the treats, and the fun.
However, leaning on family Christmas devotions and incorporating other Christian values into your daily life can help you find that center we all so desperately need during this hectic season.
One of the most simplistic ways to keep Christ in Christmas is by displaying a nativity scene in your home, which leads me to our newest free printable for the kiddos!
Away in a Manger Coloring Page
Encourage your children to stay Christ-centered this holiday season by creating and coloring with our free nativity coloring pages!
I created this first coloring page to be a simplistic coloring activity fit for all attention spans.
By skipping the fine details and leaning solely on the manger, this coloring page makes for a quick Christmas activity.
This coloring page is ideal for pre-k students and up.
Nativity Coloring Scene
While our Away in a Manger nativity coloring sheet is simple and to the point, our main nativity coloring page is a meaningful tribute to our Savior.
This nativity coloring page is complete with baby Jesus beside his parents, a starry backdrop, and a key Bible verse to help children understand why we celebrate the season.
From the Sunday school classroom to at-home use, this printable is perfect for all ages!
As a former preschool Sunday school teacher and private school kindergarten classroom assistant, I love creating free printables that are ideal for little hands.
This nativity scene is easy to use with multiple different age groups and skill levels.
From scribbles to in-depth coloring.
Simply let your kiddos color and hang on the fridge or take things up a notch by encouraging them to memorize the key scripture verse.
Either way, I truly hope this freebie brings a blessing to your home this holiday season!
Pair this coloring page with our free printable Christmas star for even more holiday fun!
