A Heart to Heart Chat

While I’m not big on Valentine’s Day for the typical mushy romantic stuff, I’m all about the decorating and crafting, you guys!

I love hearts, I love creating printables, and I’ve always loved getting creative.

That said, my kids have outgrown the crafting with Mom stage of life, so I’m currently all about creating printables for young moms to experience the joy I once did with my own kiddos!

So, if you’re looking to make a heart-to-heart kind of craft, this one is for you!

Conversation Hearts

According to McGill, the origin of conversation hearts is an interesting one, as it started in a Pharmacy back in 1847.

Who would have thought?

4 conversation candy hearts (yellow, orange, pink, and green) on white background.

Either way, these popular candy hearts are widely consumed and given each February for Valentine’s Day!

We tend to skip the food dye and eat a more organic diet, so we don’t personally eat these in our home, but they are still so much fun to use as a decorating and crafting theme!

So, whether you eat them or you don’t, these printable conversation hearts can be fun for anyone!

Printable Conversation Hearts

In recent years, I began creating free crafting templates for parents and educators.

From donuts to hearts.

While all my other crafty printables so far have been available in black and white, these bad boys are in full color, you guys!

6 sheets of large printable conversation hearts (pink with word kisses, blue with word hugs, purple with word love, orange with word sweet, yellow with word smile, green with phrase be kind).

That said, I did toy around with the idea of a black and white candy heart template, and I may release one down the road.

For now, though, I created these simple printable conversation hearts that can be used for crafting or decorating!

Check em’ out!

Conversation Hearts in All Sizes

Much like most of my crafting templates, I chose to make these printable candy hearts in multiple sizes!

First, I created a large-sized heart in 6 different colors with kid-friendly words or phrases (as seen in the green heart below!).

I chose to focus on simple, light-hearted, non-romantic words and phrases for this printable.

3 sheets of different sized conversation heart printables.

Next, I created 2 different medium-sized hearts (a set of 2 to a page + a set of 4 to a page).

Again, these hearts are in 6 different colors with kid-friendly phrases. The 4-to-a-page set includes 2 bonus words (cool +  wow) in repeat colors.

Lastly, I created a full sheet of tiny hearts! The small-sized hearts have the same word/color combinations as the previous-sized sheets and a 2 bonus word hearts.

What’s with the bonus words?? Not going to lie, you guys, I totally just did this to fill the page. I’m not a fan of leaving empty space and just thought they would be fun to toss in.

Bonus Candy Heart Printable

While I’m pretty content with the original set of these conversation hearts, I decided to spend a little extra time making a bonus sheet for you guys!

This bonus sheet is only available in the smallest size and was created to give you a few extra options.

Bonus printable sheet that features hearts in different color variations

For example, in all the other sizes, all the pinks say kisses while all the blues say hugs, etc.

This version, however, has a slight variation allowing for new word/color combinations.

Honestly, I thought this would be fun for those who intend to use these smaller conversation hearts as table scatter.

Who knows, I may get bored and make even more versions of this one down the road!

Using Conversation Heart Printables

There are so many ways to use crafting templates and printables, and this one is no different, you guys!

You can use these printable conversation hearts for crafting, decorating, or learning!

Check out some of the fun ideas I have for these hearts, or use your own ideas!

  • Create a fun heart paper craft by printing, cutting, and adding glitter glue!
  • Using the large size of cardstock, create a heart-shaped Valentine’s Day card.
  • Print and use as wall or door decor.
  • Create a Love Day banner with the medium-sized hearts.
  • Use the smallest hearts as a table scatter for a Valentine’s Day party or dinner.
  • Print the medium-sized on cardstock and attach a sucker to create a DIY Valentine for school exchanges.

While these are just some of the ideas I came up with on a whim, you can totally use these for whatever your heart (pun intended) desires!

Just print, cut, and have fun, you guys!

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the holiday portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
