Encourage the gift of love and friendship with free printable valentines for kids!

Be My Valentine

While my kids are nearly grown (and grown), I remember the days of preparing valentines for them all too well.

My older 2 kiddos were enrolled in a private school for part of their upbringing, and they had Valentine’s Day parties complete with fun valentine boxes that were filled to the brim with paper valentines and candies.

My youngest, however, has always been homeschooled, and yet she was still able to participate in the handing out of valentines at zoo classes and church when she was younger.

All that said, the art of asking someone to be your valentine (or friend) through simple gift-giving can be so much fun for little ones!

While I’m personally not a huge fan of the mushy-romantic gimmick of Valentine’s Day, I have always enjoyed celebrating through heart decorations and fun Valentine’s Day Crafts with my kiddos!

So, encourage kiddos to show a little love and kindness with these free printable valentines for kids!

Printable Valentines

Before we dive into my latest creation, printable valentines, I want to touch on how these came to be!

Last year, I made some free Valentine’s Day coloring pages for you guys, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how cute they would be as valentines!

So, without further ado, I have finally created these adorable paper valentines for simple, budget-friendly Valentine’s Day gift-giving.

Check em’ out!

Variety of Animal Valentines

As usual, I created a variety of printables.

First up is the variety of animals version.

2 printed sheets of printable valentines that feature 8 different animals.

This set of printable valentines includes 6 animals featured in our Valentine’s Day coloring pages collection + 2 new guys!

Who knows, the newbies might just become coloring pages later, too.

This is a one-sheet fits all variety.

I created this multi-animal option so you can easily print everything at once in small quantities!

Next up are the individual animal sheets.

While the above option is great for variety, I know that sometimes we have our favorites!

So, if you have a kiddo who only wants to hand out koalas or narwals, I’ve got you!

8 sheets of printable valentines. Each sheet features it's own animal and saying.

These 8 sheets are perfect for picking 1-2 animals of your choosing.

So, print nothing but giraffes or go ahead and print them all!

Either way, just print, cut, color, and have some fun this Valentine’s Day!

More Printable Valentines

Lastly, I created a fun set of unicorn and teddy bear printable valentines.

These animals were also featured in our coloring pages pack, but I chose to keep them separate from the above valentines this time around.

Bonus sheets of printable valentines that feature teddy bears and unicorns.

I created these printable valentines with tradition in mind.

Teddy bears for little boys and unicorns for little girls.

That said, I also created a combo page with both!

Whichever version you choose, I hope they bring a little love and light to your Valentine’s Day.

Using Your Printables

Before you download, check out these simple tips for using your printable valentines at home or in the classroom.

I created these freebies in a black and white template design, allowing children to color before handing them out, or for children to hand them out as is.

If your kiddo decides not to color them, consider gifting these printable valentines with a small box of crayons, instead of candy, prompting the recipient to color their own!

Either way, these are best printed on cardstock (flipping on the short edge)

Have a kiddo not into coloring? While not available at the moment, I’m definitely considering releasing a colored version of these (or something similar) down the road.

I’m always open to ideas and requests, you guys!

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the kid activities portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
