The Shamrock
According to Wikipedia the Shamrock is known as the symbol of Ireland.
This simple clover has also been linked to St. Patrick himself where it has been told he used this clover to illustrate the Holy Trinity of Christianity.
Thus, forever linking the shamrock to Irish culture and Christianity, as well as the all-popular St. Patrick’s Day.
That said, shamrocks are often confused with 4-leaf clovers (the symbol of luck) which are simply a rarer variety of the shamrock.
Because of this, both the shamrock and the four-leaf clover are iconic symbols for the entire month of March.
