Watching Birds

Have a bird-loving kiddo? Our printable bird worksheet is perfect for helping them keep track of all their favorites!

The Art of Watching Birds

Our family is wild & free by nature and watching wildlife just comes with the territory.

While my youngest prefers bug catching and treasure collecting, my older boys thrive most in the outdoors when we are hiking, camping, and animal watching.

My oldest, however, is definitely the bird lover in our family.

With that said, our entire family thoroughly enjoys getting outside and watching eagles during nesting season or discovering new species of birds we haven’t had the pleasure of viewing before.

There are so many incredible birds out there and it can be such a joy to watch them with your kiddos.

Bird Worksheet for Kids

This is one of the few printables on my website that I didn’t create for one of my own kiddos.

It’s funny because I actually have a bird-loving kid that would have loved to use this one too!

Fun Bird Watching Worksheet for Kids

Unfortunately, the idea of this simple bird worksheet came to me a tad bit too late.

That bird-loving kiddo is now 18 years old and filling out fun activity sheets isn’t exactly his idea of a fun time.

With that said, I recently shared the simple bug worksheet I created for my daughter when she was younger and I thought creating a bird-watching worksheet would make the perfect companion!

This simple bird worksheet is perfect for the kid that loves to take things slow while observing and learning.

Bird-loving kiddos can easily spend hours watching birds if they have the right tools.

I highly suggest purchasing a feeder, bird seed, and binoculars for your little one to use alongside this our bird-watching worksheet.

If purchasing a bird feeder and seed isn’t a doable option for your family, check out local nature centers for bird-watching events instead!

Free Printable Bird Worksheet

Use your bird worksheet on its own as a fun outdoor activity or combine it with our bug-catching sheet to create your own nature journal!

You can easily store all of your free nature worksheets by binding or stapling them together and creating a fun nature booklet or you can simply hole punch and store them in a 3-ring binder instead!

Want to reuse your bird worksheet? You can easily purchase a set of dry-erase pockets to utilize this fun freebie time and time again.

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the kid activities portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
