Encourage connection in and outside the home with the use of free printable lunch box notes for kids!

Homeschool Lunch Hour

While we are technically homeschoolers and haven’t had a designated lunch hour for 10+ years now, utilizing lunch box notes used to be a semi-regular occurrence in our home.

Once upon a time, my older kiddos were enrolled in a private school, and I played that stay-at-home mom role to perfection.

During those pre-homeschool days, I packed fully homemade lunches, tossed in cute notes of encouragement, and sent them off for a fantastic day of learning and lunching.

That said, those 2 boys are now grown up, and I’m solely homeschooling my youngest now.

While grazing and keeping things simplified have worked for us for the most part, my daughter has recently been craving social interaction since our days of full-time RVing recently came to an end.

So, needless to say, I have enrolled her in some homeschool enrichment classes this year!

The fun part? Those classes also include a social homeschool lunch hour, well, technically half-hour.

Either way, much like many of the other printables here on Life + Homeschool, I saw a need in my own home and decided to fill it with something I could share!

Whether you have landed on this page as a homeschooler or a non-homeschooler, I hope you find these printable lunch box notes encouraging and useful!

Here we go again, you guys!

I’m not going to lie, I created these in a bit of a rush because I needed a speedy solution for my own kiddo.

That said, I did quickly whip up a second set with a different color scheme to meet the needs of more of my readers.

I thoroughly enjoy making free printables for my kiddos, for myself, and to share with all of you!

These free printable lunch box notes are no exception.

Using Printable Lunch Box Notes

The best part about these printable lunch box notes is that homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers alike can use these freebies!

While that rings true for most of the educational resources here on Life + Homeschool, I try to create most of my printables with homeschoolers in mind.

That said, no matter your child’s education situation, you can easily add these lunch box notes to their day!

For example, my middle-schooler is doing enrichment classes this school year, and her once-a-week classes happen to fall right over lunch time, which includes that half-hour social lunch break I preciously mentioned.

Even though my kiddo likes to pack her own lunch, I plan to sneak these into her lunch box every week before we head out the door.

I am so I’m excited to see her response, you guys!

As a homeschool parent, you can pack these printables into your child’s lunch on co-op days (like us) or you can use them for special occasions like homeschool field trips instead!

That said, you can also use these on a daily basis at the lunch table in your home as a simple way to encourage kiddos before starting afternoon lessons.

Of course, these free printable lunch box notes are incredibly easy for non-homeschoolers to use, as you can easily slip one into your child’s lunch box before sending them out the door each morning!

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!
