Easy Flashcard Storage

Homeschool Storage Made Simple

When it comes to homeschool organization, I’m all about simple solutions, you guys!

From simple rolling carts that can be tucked away to our space-saving curriculum storage idea that forever changed our homeschool.

That said, when it comes to homeschooling multiple ages, there can be so many extras, and those extras all need a home, too.

Storing Homeschool Extras

When it comes to storing all the homeschool extras, such as craft supplies, manipulative items, and flashcards, easy solutions are always better.

One of the ways I stored our extras? Our lazy homeschool morning basket.

Keep Homeschool Organization Simple in the Morning with Your Morning Basket

I utilized a morning basket as a part of our morning homeschool routine for years, and when it came time to revamp that basket, I was on a mission to make it more organized and functional.

One of the things that wasn’t working from the get-go? Our flash card storage solution.

No-Brainer Flashcard Storage

When I first started homeschooling, our curriculum-based flash cards were stored in a ziplock bag and tucked into our morning basket.

This did not work for us.

My kids would rush when trying to seal them, or the bags would rip, and cards would end up spilled all over our morning basket, misplaced, or damaged.

That said, the solution I came up with was a no-brainer, and it truly is as easy as it gets, you guys!

Note: These are our OG flash card storage pouches that I wrote this post about. Unfortunately, they are Thirty-One pouches and no longer available for purchase!

I simply purchased an easy-to-zip storage pouch, and it fixed all the problems.

While this may sound like the most ridiculous solution ever, it was exactly what we needed to keep our basket organized and functional.

The downside? I began using these pouches for nearly everything else.

More than Just Flashcard Storage

While curriculum-based flash card storage is where it started, I quickly moved on to storing additional flash cards, hot dots, stickers, and tons of other homeschool items in storage pouches.

I’ve created a morning activity pouch filled with quick reads and educational activities, stored unused LEGO sets, created craft packs for summertime, used them as DIY gift bags, created busy bags, stowed away our tablets and accessories (shown below), and stored everything else imaginable in these little guys!

Storage pouches can be a solution for almost everything in my book.

While this flash card storage idea is literally the easiest solution and quite possibly the quickest read I’ve got here on Life + Homeschool, it’s the OG when it comes to my homeschool storage ideas, and I will always, always lean on it!

Happy storing and organizing, you guys!

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…
