Clean for Spring

It’s officially time to clean for spring! Using a spring cleaning checklist can motivate you to stay on task and create a cleaner home this season.

Spring is in the House

It’s officially spring, you guys!

While spring isn’t technically my favorite season, I do love it when the sun finally peeks out from behind the clouds, and my motivation for deep cleaning returns.

Spring Flowers

We had some amazing spring weather last week which motivated me to open up the windows and tackle some of those pesky cleaning tasks I’ve put off all winter.

However, winter has briefly returned to Montana this week and we officially have snow on the ground again.

So, needless to say, I’m trying to hang on to that motivation in writing this, you guys!

The Importance of Spring Cleaning

I’m the type of person who generally keeps a clean home.

I do this by focusing on daily maintenance tasks Monday – Friday, working on deeper cleaning tasks on Saturdays, and utilizing Sunday to reset.

That said, I also typically do an overhaul on the entire house with the changing of every season.

I go through everything, declutter, donate, and deep clean.

Spring Cleaning

While I love doing this with the changing of every season, many typically only tackle this depth of cleaning when spring arrives.

I feel like spring is the most popular time for this simply because winter can wreak havoc on a house.

From the excess clutter left over from the holidays to the yuck tracked in from snowy weather.

Plus, spring is all about new beginnings in my book which means it’s the perfect time to get a fresh start in your home.

That said, spring really is the perfect time to work on forming good cleaning habits that last all year long.

It just feels so good, you guys!

Using a Spring Cleaning Checklist

While some people may be able to wing it when it comes to spring cleaning, that simply doesn’t work for me.

I thrive with visual plans and printable to-do lists.

Without checklists and plans, I simply lack motivation and struggle to stay productive.

So, if you struggle with staying on task or thrive best with a checklist, this one is totally for you!

Using a Spring Cleaning Checklist Printable

That said, you also don’t have to live in a conventional home to use this awesome printable.

While I created this checklist to cover the areas in most traditional homes, you can totally skip over the ones that aren’t applicable to you.

For example, our family full-time RVs (part-time travels) and we live in a 5th wheel year round!

I too will be utilizing this simple spring cleaning checklist — skipping the garage section of course.

Since I already utilize a cleaning routine for our RV, this won’t be too hard to tackle in the coming weeks.

Life & Homeschool Author

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the organization portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
