Arbor Day Coloring Pages

Bright green background with a plant sprout + overlay text that reads: Plant Something New

Encourage kiddos to plant something new this Arbor Day. Then, use our free Arbor Day coloring pages to remember it by!

What is Arbor Day?

Arbor Day, not to be confused with Earth Day, is celebrated on the last Friday in April.

Both Arbor Day and Earth Day, however, are considered to be environmental holidays.

That said, they do have completely different origins.

I encourage you to read the full history of Arbor Day to get a true understanding of what this holiday is all about.

Arbor Day truly is a magnificent thought, though, as it represents hope for the future, instead of celebrating something that has passed like most holidays.

So, get out there, plant something fresh and new, and watch it grow into something incredible, you guys!

Arbor Day Coloring Fun

While technically the best way to celebrate Arbor Day would be to plant something, more specifically, plant a tree.

However, getting creative indoors can be a simple alternative.

Maybe use some recycled paper for this one, though, haha!

All that said, any holiday is a great reason to take time off from the norm for some crafty and creative fun.

So, here I am with a new free printable to help you do just that.

Printed and colored Arbor Day coloring pages on light wood background.

As an avid nature lover who lives in a rural area, I truly love being surrounded by trees and breathing that fresh air every time I step outside my home.

So, naturally, creating these Arbor Day coloring pages was pretty exciting for me!

I made 2 fun options for you guys.

First up, I created a simplistic version of hands holding a new sprout with the text Celebrate Arbor Day.

Lastly, I made (my favorite) an adorable potted tree with the phrase plant something and watch it grow + Happy Arbor Day printed at the bottom.

These Arbor Day coloring pages are perfect for use at home or in the classroom, with or without the action of planting an actual tree.

However, I do highly encourage you to plant something if you can, you guys!

Hey guys! I’m Mary, homeschool mom of 3 amazing kiddos.

I’m so excited that you decided to check out my little corner of the world!

If you have been following our journey for any length of time, you already know that I’m obsessed with coffee, organization, and all things simple.

I’m also a huge dog lover and introvert 💗

My homeschool style is very eclectic.

I enjoy a solid mixture of structure and free range. I set goals for myself and my children each week, but I put no pressure on perfection.

We use a wide variety of curriculum in our home.

Some of our current favorites are The Good and the Beautiful, Life of Fred, Beautiful Feet Books, and Lifepac.

While my kids do spend a good amount of time learning at desks, they also spend countless hours exploring their creativity and practicing a little independence.

I love mountains, rainy days, and sitting by the campfire.

Our family recently relocated to the PNW and we have been enjoying finding new nature spots to explore together 🙌🏼

I can’t wait to connect and share all the things I’ve learned on our new journey!

Just a Note…

Thanks for checking out the kid activities portion of the blog!

Typically summer is the most productive time for my blog. However, our family is currently living in temporary housing and we do not see an end in sight (thank you housing marking 😪) — meaning my workspace & supplies to produce quality content it extremely limited.

I am still working, but it’s nothing like normal.

As always, we appreciate your patience!
